Roller Mills
Roller Mills reduce particle size by compressing the material between 2 rollers or cylinders. Roller mills can produce a narrower particle distribution but can’t grind up fibers or larger particles.
As the material enters the chamber, it’s compressed by two rollers that break up the material into finer particles. Roller mills can have multiple sets of rollers stacked below each other. Each progressive set of rollers produces a smaller particle size.
